Procedure:

  1. We will decide on a size, pose, color scheme, mood & background. This can be done from one favorite photo or a combination - as all portraits are done from photographs the quality of the photo(s) are extremly important. Please see "Photograph Information" at the bottom of this page for suggestions on how to make sure the best quality photo is available.
  2. Delivery schedule will be discussed in accordance with my work schedule; this also depends on size and medium - oils generaly take up to 4 months because of drying time, glazing, redrying etc.. Pastels and watercolors do not need this accommodation.
  3. Sketches will be made at the studio, and then delivered to client for approval.
  4. Upon agreement of contract a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the portrait.
  5. Digital photos of the work in progress will be sent by e-mail to client to display progression.

Photograph Information:

I will create your  portrait from the  photos you provide. The quality of the photo affects the quality or the portrait.

I recommend the following:

  1. Take your photos outdoors when the sun is low on the horizon to create side lighting. That would be early to mid morning or later  in the afternoon.
  2. Position your subject so that the lighting is on the side, not frontal.
  3. Take a  good clear close up of the head (fill the screen).
  4. In the case of a full body painting, take a close up shot the head in the same approximate position as the full body photo.

PAYMENT:

25% Non-Refundable deposit

The final payment will be made on the clients satisfaction of the work.

*Delivery will be made by the carrier the client chooses.

**Delivery fees are not included in the portraits costs.
